Absolutely love!

The colouring book arrived in perfect condition and I love it so much! The paper is thick which is nice because markers don’t bleed through as much! I would definitely buy from here again!

I love Bobbie Goods, the Paper.. 😩

** First 3 photos are from the Summer physical book, the last 2 are digital downloads on printer paper both use alcohol based markers **

I absolutely adore Bobbie’s illustrations, I will always support her and her ever-growing business. I sadly bought the ‘How to Draw Book’ and messed up on many pages. So, I purchased it again… However, this time, the cover did not have that soft, velvety matte feel. It was different. The paper itself was also very different. The paper was super soft, but it made my alcohol markers look like I used water-based markers. The streaking was intense. I also bought both coloring books from the recent restock and I was so excited, I finally got to get my hands on them! However, while the paper wasn’t like my recent re-purchase of the ‘How to Draw’ book, the paper did feel a lot better. As soon as I started using my alcohol markers though, I had the same issue. Extreme streaking. I know alcohol markers behave differently depending on the paper, but so far, simple printer paper has worked the best. On printer paper it looks so flawless that it looks printed. It is so satisfying. That is why I’ve come to treasure the digital downloads. So, while I will always continue to support this business, I am tremendously sad about the paper. I have to do two, three, and sometimes four layers and even then it still shows the streaks. I currently use: Prismacolor (which usually has the amazing ability to make it looked printed), Copic Sketch, Coptic Ciao, TOUCH, BIC, Sharpie, and a cheap drop-ship brand ‘Touch Dayu” from Amazon. I have this issue with every brand of marker I own. I’ve tried doing it slow, fast, medium, hard pressure, less pressure, medium pressure. Nothing matters. It still streaks VERY VERY badly. 😞 I love the way the digital downloads printed on plain printer paper have turned out though. Using printer paper has become my favorite way to color. Again, I love Bobbie Goods. I know the paper is not her fault. Also, with the drastic difference in quality with my re-purchase of the ‘How to Draw’ book, I think it would be good to double check (somehow, if possible) on the quality of these books that Amazon is selling. When I got the second copy, I thought it was a fake because it was just so different. Oh, another thing that I noticed about that one, are the prints themselves. Some parts were dark black outlines, but other parts were as if the printer used was running low on ink and very faint. It got worse the more I flipped through the book. 😞 I spent probably $200 in the last two months on all of the offered books and all of the digital downloads. So, that is why it is slightly saddening. I love Bobbie Goods though and your art is seriously inspiring and so stinkin’ cute. I just wish the paper was different. I feel like the paper really is nice, but it doesn’t do well with alcohol markers or water-based markers. Maybe it just comes down to personal preference? I feel weird saying printer paper works better with markers than nicer paper. 🤣 Bobbie Goods helped me reconnect with coloring again. I find extreme joy in it now that I’ve found art I enjoy coloring. I have dermatillomania and Bobbie Goods has provided an outlet for me to distract myself from picking at my skin. Body-focused OCD is a nightmare I don’t wish on anyone. I struggle from extreme depression and PTSD and I cannot believe how much coloring with Bobbie Goods’ art, specifically, has helped me so so much. Okay, I know this a lot and no one will see it, but please release some new digital download options soon 💕💕💕
